TONGOD – On 23 April 2026, Sabah Mineral Management Sdn. Bhd. (SMM) technical
team visited a prospecting site in Tongod to evaluate the progress of local
mineral exploration. The team conducted a detailed inspection of drilling
samples and geological data, uncovering promising evidence of copper
mineralisation within the area. Despite facing difficult weather conditions,
the visit successfully confirmed the potential scale of these deposits while
ensuring that all exploration activities meet high safety and professional
standards. This initiative highlights SMM’s dedication to responsibly
developing Sabah’s natural resources to support the region's long-term economic
growth.
