Sabah Smart Monitoring System Implementation and Technical Site Visit – SBH Kibing Silicon Materials, Sikuati Kudat

On 8 May 2025, a technical site visit was conducted at SBH Kibing Silicon Materials in relation to the implementation of the Sabah Smart Monitoring System.

The system was introduced to strengthen the monitoring and management of silica sand activities at the Sikuati, Kudat site through a more efficient and transparent digital monitoring approach.

The visit was attended by representatives from the Sabah Lands and Surveys Department, chaired by Datuk Bernard Liew, alongside representatives from Sabah Mineral Management Sdn. Bhd., the Kudat Land Revenue Collector’s Office, Pejabat Hasil Bumi, SBH Kibing Silicon Materials, as well as the appointed monitoring system vendor.

The session included technical discussions, system implementation updates, and a site inspection aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the monitoring system in supporting regulatory compliance and operational oversight.
